A Comic Tale of [Kansas] Politics, Religion and Other Impolite Topics. Maroon cloth, gilt-stamped lettering on spine, [viii], [1] 2 -311pp. Dust jacket is illustrated on the front panel with a full color print of John Steuart Curry's mural "Tragic Prelude: John Brown," and on the back with a full color print of John Rogers Cox's "Gray and Gold" oil on cavass. Book is bright, crisp, clean, flawless, except for the slightest spine lean. Dust jacket spine is lightly sunned, not noticeable unless removed to flatten and compare with cover panels, protected in a new Gaylord brand archival clear plastic cover (removable). The author, who resides in Wichita, Kansas, claims to have written "approximately one gazillion colum inches of newspaper copy," but this is his first novel.
