Yellow linen weave cloth, black-stamped lettering on spine, viii, 294pp. Dust jacket with cover panel cartoon art of submarine in war action, author portrait photo & biographical sketch on back. SIGNED, inscribed and dated BY AUTHOR on front free endpaper, "4/30/58 Best Regards to B---, Wade Burkhart." Binding is square and tight, corners sharp, light fading on spine & covers top edges, spine ends lightly bumped, edges lightly faded, text bright & clean. Dust jacket is wholly intact, spine lightly faded, chipping along edges with 1/8" loss on spine top & bottom, 5/8" closed tear on top edge of front panel, protected in a new Gaylord brand archival clear plastic cover (removable). One of the better submariner stories of World War Two well written by one who'd "been there, done that."
