SIGNED & INSCRIBED BY AUTHOR on front free endpaper: "To M - - - - - - -, May Masse Workshop 1982, (signed) John Langstaff 1982." (Acquired from the estate of Margaret Deaver, Wichita children's storyteller, librarian and book reviewer.) White dust jacket with positively charming b/w cover photograph of children playing follow the leader. Bright, crisp, spine ends very lightly bumped, there is a damp stain across the bottom corner on the front free and back free endpapers, with all text pages in the same area with slight bends, but no additonal stains -- no odors. Dust jacket has a small closed tear & light bump to back top edge near spine, protected in a new Gaylord-brand archival clear plastic cover (removable).
