No. 12 in The Viking Portable Library edition (second printing, this edition). Green cloth, black lettering & decorative rules on spine, black lettering on front, blue edge dye, xxxviii, contents, chronology, introduction, 664pp. Green pictorial dust jacket with woodcut-type oval illustration of Poe portrait with country scene in background on front panel. Book is square, with tight binding, sharp corners, light bump to spine bottom, edge dye is bright, text crisp & clean; a thick book, the inner spine is slightly concave at headband. Dust jacket is wholly intact, slightly faded on spine, has a small 1/4" closed tear at the top of each panel & two at top of spine, generally bright & clean, protected in a new Gaylord-brand archival clear plastic cover (removable).
