Dark Brown cloth, white-stamped lettering & triple rules on spine, same on front with rules forming a border with publisher's initials at bottom corner, 351pp. SIGNED & Inscribed by Author on front free endpaper "To M--- M------ / with the good / wishes of the author -- / Cordially / George Work / San Francisco / January 1932" "From English Reviews, London Daily Times" book review slip affixed to the front pastedown. Bookplate affixed to verso of front free endpaper. Spine is slightly cocked with ends and corners bumped, damp spotting along edges of boards & spine, the white ink of the lettering on the spine is mostly lacking, edges faded, text white, clean.
