Blue boards, black cloth backstrip, blue-stamped lettering on spine, xii, 399pp. Pictorial dust jacket design by Walter Lorraine. Book is bright, clean, square, has slight spine fall-in (spine has slightly collapsed inward from the top -- typical of loosely shelved or large heavy volumes), top corners bumped (front one sharply), text white, clean. Wholly intact dust jacket has slightly faded & smudged spine, a few light smudges on other panels, protected in a new Gaylord brand archival clear plastic cover (removable). . . . the Convention will open towmorrow. It is a time of flux, when anything may happen, and during the five days of hectic activity before a candidate is nominated almost everything does.
