Pale brick red cloth, silver lettering on small maroon panel on spine, silver brigadier general's star on front, 160pp, appendices, with numerous graphs, photo plate inserted before each of seven chapters. Second Printing. SIGNED BY AUTHOR on front free endpaper. Book is square, tightly bound, spine ends lightly rubbed, corners bumped, front cover has a slight band of darkening at bottom edge, a ding to back top edge, small stain to top edges, text uniformly bright, white with just a hint of fading on the edges. In World War II, Mr. Johnson, chairman of Johnson & Johnson, became a brigadier general and served as chairman of the Small War Plants Corporation (SWPC). During his tenure the SWPC was said to have saved small industry in America. Johnson personally over saw war contracts given to more than 6,000 companies
