Rambles of a Kansan in Europe, Palestine and Africa. Green cloth, gilt- and blind-stamped lettering on spine, gilt-stamped lettering on front with a blind-stamped illustration of the Kansas sunflower & grasshopper and an Egyptian camel rider, patterend endpapers in pale green, frontis. plate, pp.[i - iii], iv - xvi, 17 -498, plus several lithographic plates. Book is square, binding quite tight, spine ends rubbed with some color loss at top, corners lightly bumped with some fraying to top corners, edges faded, text clean, uniformly white. "This book is made up largely of the letters contributed to the [Wichita] Eagle." (57 chapters, presumably each one a letter contribution). A delightful old-fashioned travelogue.
