Asiatic art in private collections of Holland and Belgium. Black cloth, gilt-stamped lettering on spine & decoration on front, blind-stamped border on front, pale green endpapers, color plate frontis., 511pp, bibliography, illustrated with 215 plates, of which 8 are color. Spine ends very lightly bumped, corners bumped, faint long diagonal scratch on front (not readily apparent), edges lightly faded, text crisp & clean. Dust jacket prepared with a color plate affixed to front, spine slightly darkened, 3" closed tear on front hinge & spine top bumped w/tiny closed tears -- these are mended inside w/clear archival tape. (The book text has a slight broad waviness in the leaves eminating from the gutter, indicating the book has been exposed to a damp environment. This is also apparent on the dust jacket front panel; however, there are no odors or stains whatsoever, and the book is very much useable.)
